Known to his patients and staff simply as "Dr. H."
Dr. Nezih Hasanoglu is a board-certified Addictionologist with more than 35 years of experience treating substance use disorders. He is also board-certified in Family Medicine, bringing a family-practice perspective to the care of every patient.
Over his career, he has served as medical director of addiction treatment programs for several area hospitals, including Elmbrook Memorial, St. Michael, and St. Francis hospitals with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, and Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the Lawrence Center with ProHealth Care. In 2026, he was named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine, recognizing a professional life devoted to addiction medicine.
Dr. Hasanoglu also has extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, and insomnia that can accompany opioid use disorder, allowing him to consider the whole person—not simply the addiction or the medication.
He provides the medical care for every patient in the Suboxone program, including induction, medication management, monitoring, and ongoing physician care. His approach is thorough and personal, with an emphasis on listening, understanding, and building a relationship patients can trust.
Deb handles intake screening, scheduling, and reminders, and meets with every patient monthly for their screening and a real conversation about how they're doing — at no charge. She's often the familiar voice on the other end of a call or text, whether someone has had a difficult week or simply has a question.
She has been part of the practice alongside Dr. Hasanoglu for more than 35 years. With training in addiction counseling (SAC-IT) and certificate coursework in addiction studies through the University of Wisconsin–Madison, she brings a personal understanding to the day-to-day care of patients and the practical side of keeping their care moving smoothly.
